This cluster randomized trial compares associations between commonly used decontamination strategies (chlorhexidine 2% mouthwash, selective oropharyngeal decontamination, and selective digestive tract decontamination) and occurrence of intensive care unit (ICU)鈥揳cquired bloodstream infections with multidrug-resistant gram-negative bacteria in ICUs with moderate to high levels of antibiotic resistance.
