Shankaran and coauthors determine if longer duration cooling (120 hours), deeper cooling (32.0掳C), or both is superior to cooling to 33.5掳C for 72 hours in neonates who are full-term with moderate or severe hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).

This randomized trial reports that antenatal multiple micronutrient compared with iron鈥揻olic acid supplementation did not reduce infant mortality to age 6 months but resulted in a non鈥搒tatistically significant reduction in stillbirths and significant reductions in preterm births and low birth weight.

In this time series analysis of hospital admissions among older adults during extreme heat events matched to non鈥揾eat wave periods, periods of extreme heat were associated with increased risk of hospitalization but the absolute risk increase was small and of uncertain clinical importance.
