This retrospective observational analysis of ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMIs) from a California database found that patients who had a STEMI while hospitalized for a non鈥揳cute coronary syndrome condition were less likely to undergo invasive testing or intervention and had a higher in-hospital mortality rate than those with outpatient onset of STEMI.
