This 2019 Recommendation Statement from the US Preventive Services Task Force recommends 1-time ultrasound screening for abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) in men aged 65-75 who have ever smoked (B recommendation), selective screening in men aged 65-75 who have never smoked (C recommendation), against routine screening in women who have never smoked and have no family AAA history (D recommendation), and concludes that current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of screening in women aged 65-75 who have ever smoked or have a family AAA history (I statement).
