HURDLES TO GO THROUGH BECAUSE IT’S GOING TO BE VERY EMOTIONAL WHEN THOSE STUDENTS COME BACK THIS AFTERNOON, PERRY SCHOOL BOARD VOTED A PLAN TO RESUME CLASSES. PERRY ELEMENTARY STUDENTS WILL RETURN TO CLASS NEXT WEDNESDAY, BUT FIRST THEY HAVE AN OPEN HOUSE ON TUESDAY WITH COUNSELING SERVICES, MIDDLE SCHOOLERS WILL HAVE A SIMILAR OPEN HOUSE ON WEDNESDAY. THEY GO BACK TO CLASS ON THURSDAY. HIGH SCHOOLERS RETURN THE NEXT WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31ST. AL

Perry Community School District officials announced a new plan Friday to reopen schools after this month's deadly school shooting. Perry Elementary students will return to class on Wednesday. But first, they have an open house Tuesday with counseling services.Middle schoolers have a similar open house on Wednesday, and they go back to class Thursday.High schoolers return the next Wednesday, Jan. 31.All grades have early dismissal until further notice.Perry High School student Dylan Butler, 17, killed sixth-grader Ahmir Jolliff and wounded seven other people in the shooting on Jan. 4 before killing himself.
