Caitlin Clark's old elementary school cheers on the Hawkeyes

Caitlin Clark's old elementary school cheers on the Hawkeyes
THIS IS WHERE CAITLIN CLARK WENT TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. ALL THE STUDENTS HERE TODAY AND TOMORROW ARE GOING TO BE WEARING THEIR BLACK AND GOLD TO SUPPORT THE HAWKEYES IN THE FINAL FOUR, STUDENTS LINED THE HALLWAYS AT THE SAINT FRANCIS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, CHANTING THE NAME OF FORMER STUDENT AND CURRENT HAWKEYE CAITLIN CLARK. IT’S A NOD TO A TRADITION AT THE SCHOOL THAT THEY TYPICALLY DO FOR THE EIGHTH GRADERS AS THEY GRADUATE. THE SCHOOL MADE A VIDEO WALKING THROUGH THE HALLS AND INTO THE GYMNASIUM, SHOWING OFF ALL THE IOWA SPIRIT AND PLAN TO GET IT TO CAITLIN BEFORE THE GAME ON FRIDAY. SCHOOL STAFF SAYS SHE’S BECOME A HUGE INSPIRATION FOR THE STUDENTS FOLLOWING IN HER FOOTSTEPS. YOU ALWAYS HEAR YOU CAN DO THIS, YOU CAN BE WHATEVER YOU WANT. AND WHEN IT COMES FROM YOUR OWN GRASP, ROOTS AND YOUR OWN BUILDING, LIKE SHE WALKED THESE HALLS, SHE PLAYED IN THIS GYM, SHE WORE THE JERSEY THAT WE’RE GOING TO WEAR IT. THAT’S JUST ANOTHER STEP OF I CAN DO THIS. I CAN BELIEVE. AND TOMORROW AT DOWLING CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL, THEY’RE HAVING A CAITLIN CLARK DAY THERE AS WELL, WHERE STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR BLACK AND GOLD OR MAROON IN WEST DES MOINES. BEAU BOWMA
