The original 'My Little Pony' dolls are back

It's 1983 all over again

Eighties babies, get ready for a blast from the past: Your favorite magical ponies are making a return. The company Basic Fun has revamped the original six collector ponies from My Little Pony to mark the 35th anniversary of the brand. You likely couldn't get enough of Minty, Blue Bell, Butterscotch, Snuzzle, Blossom, and Cotton Candy, but through the years, new characters were introduced (a mythical Seapony even made her way into the mix), and the original crew took the backseat. All is good in the world though, because now they're back with brighter colors and shinier hair made for 2018. They don't look exactly the same as the originals, but your pony still comes with a comb and ribbon, similar to what you had as a kid. (Pro tip: A marker cap still makes the best ringlet curls). The collector ponies are available at Target and Toys R Us for $10 each, but just like back in the day, you can only get them in stores. We don't know about you, but we're totally saving our lunch money so we can get all six.Along with the originals, Basic Fun is also bringing back Rainbow Ponies — you know, the super sweet smelling dolls with multi-colored hair. Right now, Sunlight, Starshine, Windy, Parasol, Skydancer, and Cotton Candy won't be available until August, but after 35 years, 80's kids can definitely wait a little longer for them to make their way to shelves.
