Back in April, it was reported the new take on the old Tamagotchi was only . Now, per the toy's parent company Bandai, Tamagotchis will very soon be available for purchase in the U.S.
A "limited [quantity]" of Tamagotchis will be sold for $14.99 starting on November 5 to celebrate the toy's 20th anniversary. It's unclear where exactly you'll be able to buy them at that time, but just in case, mark your calendars.
The Tamagotchi will be available in its six classic models. Though this version is a bit smaller than the original, it still features its classic "egg shape, pixelated LCD charm, and, of course, the recurrent need for tender loving care that endeared fans in 1997 when it was first released!" Bandai explains in their press release.
Why bother re-releasing one of the holiest parts of 90's childhoods? So one can "relive the nurturing fun you had in the 90s as well as stoke a new generation on the joys of caring for a needy digital pet."
