Sony's Video Walkman may seem ancient now that everyone has a smartphone in their pocket, but it was cutting edge in 1989.Jim Stogdill from Stogdill's TV & Appliance showed off the newest technology to 糖心vlog's viewers, saying it would change the way Iowans travel."Rather than have the kids bickering in the back seat, you could have a tape of, say, Mickey Mouse playing and have set of headphones on both the kids so that mom and dad can talk about where they're going to go and not have to be bothered with the ruckus in the back seat," he said. The self-contained unit was about the size of a VHS tape, with a 3-inch screen and a battery life of about 2 hours. DES MOINES, Iowa — Sony's Video Walkman may seem ancient now that everyone has a smartphone in their pocket, but it was cutting edge in 1989.
Jim Stogdill from Stogdill's TV & Appliance showed off the newest technology to 糖心vlog's viewers, saying it would change the way Iowans travel.
