COVERAGE HERE AT NOON. WE’RE STILL TRACKING SNOW ON THE ROADS THIS AFTERNOON AFTER A DAY’S WORTH OF SNOW HAS FALLEN ACROSS THE STATE. AND IT’S CAUSING ISSUES OUT HERE. THIS IS A LOOK AT THE WEST MIXMASTER, WHERE THEY’VE ACTUALLY SHUT DOWN THE ON RAMP FROM 35 SOUTH TO 235 EAST. AND AMBULANCES RESPONDING HERE. AND A STATE TROOPER HAS BLOCKED THAT OFF. AND WE’RE WORKING TO LEARN MORE DETAILS ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON THERE. 3580 AT SECOND AVENUE FOR ABOUT 2.5 HOURS NOW, THIS CRASH HAS BEEN HERE BLOCKING THE TWO RIGHT LANES, REDUCING TRAFFIC TO ONE LANE. YOU CAN SEE A SEMI TRUCK CAB THAT’S ON ITS SIDE. BUT THE POLICE RESPONSE HAS ACTUALLY CLEARED UP THERE. SO HOPEFULLY WE START TO SEE THAT CLEAR AS WELL. ROAD CONDITIONS STILL REALLY MESSY ACROSS THE STATE. PINK INDICATING 100% COVERED ROADS. PURPLE HERE. TRAVEL NOT ADVISED ALL THE WAY FROM MITCHELLVILLE TO IOWA CITY ON I-80 AND THERE ARE A NUMBER OF CRASHES ALONG THATRILLIONOUTE. TAKE A LOOK AT IT. WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE THERE IN THAT STRETCH. I-80 AT THE BAXTER EXIT. SEE THAT? BLOWING SNOW AND NOT MUCH ROOM TO WORK WITH ON THE ROADS THERE. 235 AT 63RD STREET. IF YOU’RE GOING WEST HERE ON 235, THE RAMP IS PARTIALLY BLOCKED. IF YOU’RE EXITING THERE DUE TO A VEHICLE THAT’S HAVING ISSUES IN THE HIGHWAY, HELPER OUT HELPING THEM. SO REALLY STILL TOUGH CONDITIONS. BUT WE’RE GETTING THERE. LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE HERE UP IN AMES. THOSE ROADS LOOK A LOT BETTER AND THEY LOOK PRETTY GOOD IN CLEAR LAKE AS WELL. SO HOPEFULLY WE’LL WORK TOWARD THAT. BUT STILL HERE IN
