'Dog the Bounty Hunter' star Beth Chapman shares positive messages amid cancer battle

Reality show star's illness returned in November

"Dog the Bounty Hunter" star Beth Chapman is staying positive amid her battle with cancer. Beth, who is married to Duane "Dog" Chapman, was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017. Though she overcame the first bout, she announced in November 2018 that her illness had returned. In April, Beth was hospitalized in Hawaii, as she reportedly was having difficulty breathing. An attorney for the family confirmed to People that she was “resting at home” following the scary incident. Beth has continued to stay strong throughout the process, as the 51-year-old has posted several photos of herself smiling, despite her recent complications. On Palm Sunday, she uploaded a selfie where she grinned ear-to-ear and reminded followers, “Don’t forget the reason for the season,” in the caption. A few weeks before that, she couldn’t have looked happier serving her duties as an “aunty BEFF,” which appears to be the little girl's nickname for Beth.“I can never say how much I needed her sweet lil smile and her infectious laugh,” Beth wrote on the snap of her with a smiling girl. “I don’t get to see my own grandkids very often so she fills a big void in my heart.”Beth isn’t the only member of the family sharing the motivational attitude. Her husband captured a picture of his wife, writing, “Property 0f DOG.” Duane recently spoke out about how they’re coping, and it seems the tight-knit clan isn’t giving up any time soon.“I told her the other day, 'I love you so much I’m not gonna let you die,'” he said. “I have to stay strong.”
