Return to Pooh Corner
Disney's live-action movie returns to Pooh Corner with its charming first teaser. Have a look below:
The live-action fantasy film casts Ewan McGregor as the grown-up Christopher Robin, who has grown cynical and depressed since leaving Pooh Corner behind for the mundanity of adulthood.
These days, Christopher is ignoring his wife Evelyn (Hayley Atwell) and daughter Madeline (Bronte Carmichael) in favor of making budget cuts at the behest of his miserly boss Keith Winslow (Mark Gatiss).
But the sudden reappearance of his old friend Winnie the Pooh — voiced, as in most of Pooh's modern Disney films and TV shows, by Jim Cummings — might offer hope of recapturing the magic of his youth.
Quantum of Solace and Finding Neverland director Marc Forster is working off a script from Tom McCarthy (Up), Alex Ross Perry (Queen of Earth) and Oscar nominee Allison Schroeder (Hidden Figures).
In addition to Ewan McGregor and Hayley Atwell, the film's voice cast boasts Doctor Who's Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, Chris O'Dowd as Tigger, Sophie Okonedo as Kanga and Brad Garrett as Eeyore.
Disney's Christopher Robin opens on August 3rd.
