"Life of the Party" (May 11)

Melissa McCarthy goes Greek in a comedy she wrote with her husband Ben Falcone, who also directs. As Deanna, a housewife without a husband, she goes back to college and lands in the same social circles as her daughter. Bonus: Maya Rudolph, Christina Aguilera, and Gillian Jacobs are all along for the ride.

"Deadpool 2" (May 18)

Deadpool, the foulmouthed mercenary who brought in the dollar bills with massive opening weekend box office records back in 2016, will return with much of his usual tomfoolery: F-bombs, actual bombs and Ryan Reynolds breaking the fourth wall.

"Solo: A Star Wars Story" (May 25)

After eons of turbulent production drama and a directorsā€™ version of musical chairs, Ron Howardā€™s standalone anthology film dedicated to everyone's favorite space pirate will finally make its way into the Lucasfilm canon. But the real reason to be excited? The script comes from Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote "Empire Strikes Back."

"Oceanā€™s 8" (June 8)

Heisting runs in the Ocean family, as Dannyā€™s estranged sister, Debbie (Sandra Bullock) plots to in a female-centric version of the Soderbergh franchise. The target: A $150 million diamond necklace. The players: A cast that gets better with each name, from Cate Blanchett to Rihanna.

Summer always plays host to superheroes, musicals and sequels, and thatā€™s great, but thank the movie gods for Boots Rileyā€™s bonkers indie flick. The only thing anyone at Sundance 2018 could talk about, this sci-fi comedy about a successful telemarketer is the antidote to summer blockbuster-ing you need.

"Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" (July 20)

Get those ABBA t-shirts out of storage—you've got some fan-girling to do. Ol Parker is giving the famed musical an encore performance, its narrative catching up with a pregnant Sophie and exploring a young Donna. There will be familiar faces like, Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried, as well as some new-but-very-familiar ones, like Cher!

"The Spy Who Dumped Me" (August 3)

Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon costume-up for an international espionage comedy about best friends who find themselves ensnared in conspiracy, after discovering one of their exes (Justin Theroux) is a spy. It also marks the big-screen directorial debut for Susanna Fogel, who you may know as creator of TVā€™s "Chasing Life."
