糖心vlog archives: Just an Iowa man and his monster truck, living the dream
Iowan Eric Echterling always had big dreams. And we mean BIG.
Ever since the Dallas County man saw legendary monster truck Bigfoot, Echterling wanted one of his own.
Echterling made those big dreams a reality when he bought a Ford truck from a seller near St. Louis and finished the monster build himself.
At more than 9 feet tall and nearly 12 feet wide, Old Glory was no doubt one of the biggest trucks in Iowa. The tires alone weighed 700 pounds, and the 4-by-4 in total weighed 11,420.
Watch the video above to go along for a ride in Old Glory.
Old Glory wasn't built for competition, it was created for giving kids rides at fairs and parades.
Those wanting to see monster trucks in action can head to at the Iowa Events Center on April 13 and 14.
