Iowa election 2024: Dallas County results
ALL RIGHT. LAURA TERRELL, THANK YOU SO MUCH. YOU KNOW, SHE TALKED ABOUT THE STRATEGISTS LEAVING THE PARTY AND GOING UP NOW TO TALK TO THE CANDIDATE. WE HAVE A COUPLE OF OF PARTY STRATEGISTS HERE WITH US TONIGHT, CHIEF POLITICAL REPORTER AMANDA ROOKER IS JOINED BY JEFF LINK, A DEMOCRATIC STRATEGIST AND TYLER CAMPBELL, A REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST. THEY CAN SPEAK TO WHAT’S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW AT THOSE PARTY. WATCH, WATCH PARTIES. YEAH. WE WANT TO TALK A LITTLE BIT. WE WE’VE SEEN, YOU KNOW, A REVERSE IN THAT DISTRICT THREE RACE WITH ZACH NUNN UP. I KNOW, TYLER, YOU’VE BEEN HEARING FROM, YOU KNOW, NUNN HIMSELF AND SOME MEMBERS OF THE CAMPAIGN, YOU KNOW, WHAT’S BEEN THEIR REACTION AND WHAT’S DRIVING THAT SHIFT. YEAH, IT SOUNDS LIKE A KEY TAKEAWAY THIS CYCLE IS HE’S OUTPERFORMED IN DALLAS COUNTY, WHERE THEY PUT A LOT OF RESOURCES, A LOT OF WORK INTO AND SOME OF THE OUTSTANDING COUNTIES THAT THEY STILL HAVE LEFT TO REPORT. UNION CASS LUCAS, MONTGOMERY, GUTHRIE, THOSE SHOULD ALL GO IN THE NUNN BUCKET. YEAH, IT LOOKS LIKE HE’S MAYBE DOING BETTER THAN HE DID IN 2022. I THINK HE’S UP ABOUT YOU KNOW, 3500 VOTES RIGHT NOW. WE’LL CONTINUE TO WATCH THAT. BUT I WANT TO TALK TO JEFF ABOUT THE DISTRICT ONE RACE, ONE THAT WE’VE BEEN, YOU KNOW, LOCKED IN ON TONIGHT. IT LOOKS LIKE JOHNSON COUNTY, YOU KNOW, NUMBERS MAY BE TRICKLING IN AND HELPING BOHANON HERE. YEAH. SO UNLIKE THE THIRD DISTRICT WHERE POLK COUNTY CAME IN FIRST, JOHNSON COUNTY SEEMS TO BE COMING IN AT THE END. AND THAT’S BEEN REALLY GOOD NEWS FOR BOHANON RIGHT NOW IT LOOKS LIKE SHE’S UP MAYBE BY 7000 VOTES OR SO. A LOT OF JOHNSON IS IN. THERE’S STILL SOME JOHNSON OUT. SHE SHOULD DO WELL IN THAT REMAINING PART OF JOHNSON COUNTY. THERE’S A LITTLE BIT LEFT IN SCOTT COUNTY. SHE’S AHEAD IN SCOTT COUNTY RIGHT NOW. BUT WE DON’T HAVE ANY REPORTING FROM WASHINGTON COUNTY OR FROM MUSCATINE COUNTY. SO THE QUESTION IS, CAN SHE HANG ON TO THAT LEAD WITH THOSE TWO COUNTIES COMING IN THAT THAT MILLER-MEEKS WILL PROBABLY WIN? WELL, AS THOSE RESULTS CONTINUE TO POUR IN, I KNOW WE’LL CONTINUE TALKI
