Iowa election 2024: Results of statewide essential EMS measures

Residents in 12 Iowa counties are being asked to approve a new tax to fund emergency medical services and declare EMS an essential service. , signed into law by Gov. Kim Reynolds in June 2021 provides the framework for counties to deem the service essential. It allows them to create a referendum to raise property taxes to fund EMS.
To pass, these must be approved by 60% of voters.
Counties that have an EMS tax levy on the ballot Nov. 5:
($0.75 per $1,000 of assessed value on all taxable property)
