THAT’S FASCINATING. IT IS. AND JASON, OUR WEATHER IS FASCINATING, TOO. I MEAN, IT’S JUST STUNNING HOW THIS ROLLER COASTER OF MARCH JUST CONTINUES. IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE WEATHER, JUST WAIT A COUPLE DAYS. IT WILL BE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. I CAN PROMISE YOU THAT. RIGHT. I MEAN, WE HIT 80 DEGREES TODAY. WE WERE AT 80 DEGREES TODAY AND WE HAD SEVERE STORMS. AND SUNDAY MORNING SOME OF US WILL BE IN THE SINGLE DIGITS FOR WIND CHILLS. THAT IS CRAZY TO ME. MIND BLOWING. ANYWAY, IT IS MARCH AFTER ALL, SO WE’RE FEELING THE PAINS OF SPRING RIGHT NOW. YOU CAN SEE THOSE SHOWERS, EVEN SOME SEVERE STORMS STILL MARCHING THEIR WAY THROUGH PORTIONS OF ILLINOIS. THEY’VE GOT TORNADO WARNINGS DOWN NEAR PEORIA FOR US. WE’VE GOT LINGERING SHOWERS ON THE BACK SIDE OF THIS SYSTEM. THEY’RE STILL SEEING RAIN UP NEAR SIOUX CITY AND SIOUX FALLS. THAT’S GOING TO EVENTUALLY TRANSITION OVER TO A BIT OF SNOW. WIND GUSTS RIGHT NOW HAVE TAPERED BACK. WE’RE DOWN TO 29MPH FOR GUSTS IN THE METRO ACROSS MUCH OF THE STATE. STILL AROUND 20 TO 30MPH. AND VISIBILITIES, WELL, THEY’RE LOWER AS YOU GET DOWN NEAR CLARINDA. AND WHY? WELL, WE HAVE GOT SMOKE AND DUST THAT’S BEEN WORKING ITS WAY IN FROM THE SOUTHWEST, AND THAT HAS BEEN LIMITING VISIBILITIES ALL THE WAY FROM SAN ANGELO, TEXAS TO TOPEKA. AND YOU CAN SEE WHAT THAT’S DOING TO THE AIR QUALITY. IT IS BAD OUT THERE FROM LUBBOCK, TEXAS, ALL THE WAY UP INTO NORTHERN PORTIONS OF MISSOURI. WON’T BE LONG BEFORE WE START TO SEE SOME OF THIS SNEAK ITS WAY INTO THE STATE. SO IF YOU START TO SMELL A LITTLE BIT OF SMOKE IN SPOTS AND YOU SEE A LITTLE BIT OF DUST. DON’T SAY I DIDN’T TELL YOU. SO. BUT ON YOUR HOUR BY HOUR YOU CAN SEE THAT AREA OF RAIN TO THE WEST. WATCH AS THIS TRANSITIONS OVER TO SNOW. NORTHWESTERN PORTIONS OF THE STATE WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO PICK UP ON A LITTLE BIT OF THAT, AND WITH THE 40 MILE PER HOUR WINDS THAT WE WILL STILL HAVE TOMORROW MORNING, THAT COULD LEAD TO SOME BLOWING SNOW AND SOME SPOTS SHOULD BE PRETTY LIGHT. THOUGH WE’RE NOT REALLY TALKING ABOUT MUCH AS FAR AS ACCUMULATION IS CONCERNED, BUT WE’LL KEEP THE WINDS FOR MUCH OF THE DAY. THAT IS GOING TO BE A COLD BREEZE OUT OF THE NORTHWEST. THAT’S GOING TO KNOCK THOSE TEMPERATURES DOWN FOR MUCH OF THE DAY. OUR HIGH TOMORROW LIKELY HAPPENING AT MIDNIGHT. SO WE WORK OUR WAY THROUGH SUNDAY. A WHOLE LOT OF SUNSHINE TO BE HAD OUT THERE, SO THAT’S SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO AS FAR AS HOW MUCH RAIN WE CAN EXPECT. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL GOING TO BE TALKING ABOUT MAYBE A COUPLE HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH FOR AREAS LIKE CARROLL AND FORT DODGE. OTHERWISE, AREAS ON THE BACKSIDE OF THAT LOW WITH THAT SWATH OF RAIN COULD PICK UP ANYWHERE FROM A QUARTER INCH TO AN ADDITIONAL INCH. SNOW POTENTIAL IS NOT HUGE. WE’VE GOT A CHANCE FOR A DUSTING TO THE NORTH AND THE NORTHWEST NORTHERN KOSSUTH COUNTY. YOU’LL HAVE THAT CHANCE TO SEE SOME FLAKES AS WELL. AND THAT’S NOT THE ONLY WINTER FEEL THAT WE COULD HAVE HERE. AS WE HEAD INTO SATURDAY MORNING, WIND CHILLS IN THE TEENS TO THE NORTHWEST. SUNDAY MORNING. OH, IT GETS WORSE. WE’RE TALKING SINGLE DIGIT WIND CHILLS THROUGH NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE STATE. TEENS EVERYWHERE ELSE COMPARED TO THE 80 DEGREES WE HAD TODAY. THIS IS GOING TO BE A BIT OF A RUDE AWAKENING SUNDAY. SO IF YOU’VE GOT PLANS TO GO FOR THAT MORNING JOG, STACK ON THE LAYERS. YOUR EXTENDED FORECAST. OH MAN, I WISH I DIDN’T EVEN HAVE TO SHOW THIS, BUT YOUR EXTENDED FORECAST BRINGS IN CHANCES FOR ACCUMULATING SNOW WEDNESDAY MORNING, AND THAT’S GOING TO CONTINUE THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY. YOU CAN SEE THAT SYSTEM TREKS ITS WAY EASTWARD, AND AREAS LIKE GREEN BAY AND CHICAGO BY 10 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, SO WINTER NOT QUITE DONE WITH US YET. FIRST, WE GET THE COLD SUNDAY MORNING, THEN WE GET THAT CHANCE FOR ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL EARLY ON WEDNESDAY. BUT BEFORE THAT, LOOK AT SAINT PATRICK’S DAY. OH YES, THE SIGNS OF SPRING ARE UPON US. 72 ON MONDAY. WE’RE UP TO 75 ON TUESDAY. AND AFTER THAT, SNOW ROLLS IN, WE A
