JODI. LAURA NORTH HIGH SCHOOL IS ONE OF THE CAUCUS SITES HERE IN POLK COUNTY. THREE PRECINCTS WILL BE MEETING UP HERE ON THE NIGHT OF JANUARY 15TH. AND WITH JUST FIVE WEEKS TO GO UNTIL THE IOWA CAUCUSES, ONE CANDIDATE IS MAINTAINING A CLEAR LEAD IN THE HAWKEYE STATE. FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP’S SUPPORT IN IOWA AMONG LIKELY REPUBLICAN CAUCUS GOERS IS NOW AT 51%. THAT’S UP EIGHT PERCENTAGE POINTS FROM OCTOBER vlog POLITICAL ANALYST DENNIS GOLDFORD SAYS TRUMP’S LEAD IS PRETTY CONSTANT. THE NUMBERS REALLY DIDN’T CHANGE VERY MUCH. THE THE POLLING DATA FOR TRUMP WENT UP A LITTLE BIT MORE OR LESS THE SAME FOR HALEY AND DESANTIS. FLORIDA GOVERNOR RON DESANTIS HAS GAINED THREE PERCENTAGE POINTS SINCE THE LAST POLL, NOW AT 19%. AND FORMER UN AMBASSADOR NIKKI HALEY REMAINS AT 16%. WHAT THEY’VE GOT TO DO IS FIGURE OUT A WAY TO EXCEED EXPECTATIONS. CAUCUS NIGHT. THE SAME POLL SHOWS THAT WITH FIVE WEEKS UNTIL THE IOWA CAUCUSES IS 5% OF LIKELY REPUBLICAN CAUCUS GOERS DO NOT HAVE A FIRST CHOICE CANDIDATE. CASEY. I SPOKE TO TWO UNDECIDED VOTERS ABOUT MONDAY’S POLL. I GUESS I’M NOT SURPRISED THAT TRUMP IS LEADING, BUT I’M ALSO VERY CONCERNED THAT IF THAT’S WHERE THE PARTY IS GOING, I WAS ACTUALLY VERY SURPRISED TO SEE THE GAP BETWEEN DESANTIS AND TRUMP TO BE SO BIG. BOTH JEN MCDONALD AND BETSY ANDERSON SAY POLLING NUMBERS DON’T INFLUENCE WHO THEY’LL CAUCUS FOR. BUT THE TWO UNDECIDED VOTERS SAY THEY HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT TRUMP’S LEAD IN THE POLLS AND HIS OVERALL ELECTABILITY. I’M UNDECIDED BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE, YOU KNOW, AS FAR AS TRUMP GOES, I THINK THERE’S A LOT OF DIFFERENT ISSUES THAT MAY STILL INTERRUPT HIS ABILITY TO ACTUALLY SERVE AS PRESIDENT. ISN’T THERE A CANDIDATE OUT THERE THAT CAN BE HAVEN’T TEGRITY THAT COULD WIN THAT CAN RUN THE COUNTRY AND DO IT? WELL? I AM DEFINITELY CONCERNED WITH THE POLLS. IN THAT SAME POLL. HAS THE BIG RASMUSSEN ARMY AT 5% AND CHRIS CHRISTIE AT 4%. ASA HUTCHINSON SITS AT 1% AND RYAN BINKLEY FOR THE THIRD STRAIGHT POLL SITS AT 0%. LIVE IN DES MOINES, OFELIA
