AND WITH JUST FIVE WEEKS TO GO UNTIL THE IOWA CAUCUSES, ONE CANDIDATE IS MAINTAINING A CLEAR LEAD IN THE HAWKEYE STATE. FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP’S SUPPORT IN IOWA AMONG LIKELY REPUBLICAN CAUCUS GOERS IS NOW AT 51%. THAT’S UP EIGHT PERCENTAGE POINTS FROM OCTOBER vlog POLITICAL ANALYST DENNIS GOLDFORD SAYS TRUMP’S LEAD IS PRETTY CONSTANT. THE NUMBERS REALLY DIDN’T CHANGE VERY MUCH. THE SAME POLL SHOWS THAT WITH FIVE WEEKS UNTIL THE IOWA CAUCUSES IS 5% OF LIKELY REPUBLICAN CAUCUS GOERS DO NOT HAVE A FIRST CHOICE CANDIDATE. CASEY. I GUESS I’M NOT SURPRISED THAT TRUMP IS LEADING, BUT I’M ALSO VERY CONCERNED THAT IF THAT’S WHERE THE PARTY IS GOING, I WAS ACTUALLY VERY SURPRISED TO SEE THE GAP BETWEEN DESANTIS AND TRUMP TO BE SO BIG. BOTH JEN MCDONALD AND BETSY ANDERSON SAY POLLING NUMBERS DON’T INFLUENCE WHO THEY’LL CAUCUS FOR. BUT THE TWO UNDECIDED VOTERS SAY THEY HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT TRUMP’S LEAD IN THE POLLS AND HIS OVERALL ELECTABILITY. I’M UNDECIDED BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE, YOU KNOW, AS FAR AS TRUMP GOES, I THINK THERE’S A LOT OF DIFFERENT ISSUES THAT MAY STILL INTERRUPT HIS ABILITY TO ACTUALLY SERVE AS PRESIDENT. ISN’T THERE A CANDIDATE OUT THERE THAT CAN BE HAVEN’T TEGRITY THAT COULD WIN THAT CAN RUN THE COUNTRY AND DO IT? WELL? I AM DEFINITELY CONCERNED WITH THE POLLS. IN THAT SAME POLL. A new poll is offering more insight into how Republican candidates are faring in Iowa with just five weeks left until the Iowa caucuses.For the first time during this campaign, support for Donald Trump jumped above 50%.The poll from the Des Moines Register, NBC News and Mediacom shows 51% of likely caucusgoers have Trump as their first choice for president.Ron DeSantis pulled out ahead of Nikki Haley with 19% support. Haley has 16%. Coming in fourth in the poll with 5% is Vivek Ramaswamy. Chris Christie is the only other candidate who polled more than 1%.vlog political analyst Dennis Goldford said Trump is maintaining a pretty constant and significant lead."The numbers really didn't change very much," Goldford said. "The polling data for Trump went up a little bit, more or less the same for Haley and DeSantis down in the high teens."He said DeSantis and Haley both need to exceed expectations on caucus night. "If they were to pull the former president down below the 50% mark in a significant way, that would be a very big surprise and would be unexpected and would be the news," Goldford said.
