According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS' Leslie Moonves says that company is bringing back The Twilight Zone, the late '50s/early '60s television megahit whose influence still reverberates throughout the genre today. The best part is Jordan Peel, the director behind one of this year's greatest horror films Get Out, will be involved with the project with Marco Ramirez (The Defenders, Daredevil, and Sons of Anarchy) rumored to write.Who will be hosting the show, so famously performed by Rod Serling, is a mystery, but the move makes sense for a lot of reasons. With Netflix's Black Mirror and other networks coming up with similar shows, why not bring back the original that started it all? CBS says that its gained record subscribers to CBS All-Access, so the title might join Star Trek: Discovery as another show to draw more people to the service. We live in an era of reboots, and with one successful return under way with Discovery, it appears that CBS is going to press its luck.
