The Tamagotchis were introduced in the United States in the 90s. First an egg would appear on the screen and after feeding, nurturing and cleaning up after it, it would grow into a little creature.
However, if the owner forgot to properly take care of the digital creature, it would die and the whole cycle would start over.
According to Mashable, the newer version of this classic toy will actually be around half the size of the original.
