THE VICTIM’S FAMILIESRE A FEELING TERRY TIFFANY. I SPOKE TOWO T WHOSE CHILDREN WANT A HERO TEACHER AND ONE A 17 YEAR OLD STUDENT. WE’RE GUNNED DOWN IN THE PARKLAND SCHLOO MASSACRE FOUR YEARS AGO. EYTH KNOW THE TERRIBLE AND ONGOING PAIN AND THEY ARE ANGRY. NOT ONLY FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM BUT TOHESE T NEWEST VICTIMS KILLED AT MARJORY STONEMAN DOUGLAS HIGH SCHLOO WERE THE SONS OF LINDA BAGEL SCHULMAN AND MANUEL OLIVER BAGELS ON SCOTT A TEACHER MANUEL SON JOAQUIN A 17 YEAR OLD STUDENT BOTH PARTSEN NOW TIRELESS ADVOCATES FOR GUN REFORM LINDA TELLINGE M SHE BLAMES LAWMAKERS FOR NOT TIGHTENING UP GNNLE LAWS AND MANUEL AGREES. THAT IS THE ONLY SOLUTION. YESTEAYRD 19 CHILDREN ARE MURDERED AND TWO TEACHERS AND SOMEBODY SAID WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WELL, WE’REOI DNG AN INVESTIGATION. HELLO BY THE TIME YOU’RE DOING YOUR INVESTIGATION. WHICH WHICH STATE WHERE IS THE NEXT MASS SHOOTGIN WE’RE DOING AN INVESTIGATION WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING WE DO. OKAYI AN, THESE PEOPLE ARE REMO INTERESTED IN GETTING REELECTED THANHE TY ARE OF SAVING LIVES AND MAKING SURE THAT WE’RE SAFE. YOU SEE HOW THEY COME OUT WITH A CONCLUSION THAT THE SHOOTER WAS ALONE. HE WAS BY HIMSELF. HE MADE HIS OWN DECISIONS. YOU WAS NOT ALONE. YOURS AND DOORS BY A WLEHO SYSTEM THAT ALLOWS YOU TO HAVE. HE WAS PROMOTED AND PUSHED BY A GUN INDUSTRY THAT HAS BEEN INFLUENCED IN PEOPLE ALL AROUND OUR NATION FOR DECADES. SO WE NEED TO LEARN EVERY TIME THESE HAPPENS AND NOT GO THROUGH THE SAME TEMPLATE. BECAUSE THAT HASN’T WORKED. BOTH PARENTS TELLING ME THE EASY ACCESS TO GUNS IS THE PROBLEM. LINDA SAYS SHE’S NOT FOR OUTLAWING GUNS, BUT TIGHTENING THE RULES TO ONLY LEGAL ADULTS WITH PROPER SAFEGUARDS HAVE ACCESS AND MANUEL TELLS ME HE DOESN’T THINK MENTAL ILLNESS OR VIDEO GAMES OR OTHER PROBLSEM IS THE CAUSE OF THESE SCHOOL SHOOTINGS, BUT THAT SOMEONE WITH THEOS THOUGHTS CAN EASILY ACQUIRE GUNS AND CARRY THEM OUT. WITH TRAGIC OUTCOMES LIKE THIS.

'He didn't act alone': Parkland massacre parents react to Texas tragedy

Parents of Parkland school shooting blame lawmakers, gun industry

Parents of two victims of the Parkland, Florida, school shooting in 2018 say they understand the pain of families in Uvalde, Texas, and they are angry. Linda Beigel Schulman's son Scott was a geography teacher who shepherded terrified students into his classroom only to be gunned down at the door himself. She says lawmakers are lax at making any changes in tightening gun laws to keep them out of the hands of potential school shooters. She says each shooting leads to more empty promises and no change."Hello? By the time you're doing your investigation, which state is where's the next mass shooting? 'We're doing an investigation, we need to do something — we do,' OK. I mean, these people are more interested in getting re-elected than they are of saving lives and making sure that we're safe," Beigel Schulman said. Manuel Oliver's 17-year-old son Joaquin was also killed in the Parkland shooting and he has been a tireless agent for change since."You see how they come out with a conclusion that the shooter (in Ulvalde) was alone: 'He was by himself. He made his own decisions," Oliver said."He was not alone. He was endorsed by a whole system that allows this to happen. He was promoted and pushed by a gun industry that has been influencing people all around our nation for decades," he said. Oliver said the old template is not working, and easy access to guns is the problem.Neither said they were for outlawing guns but tightening laws so only legal adults with proper safeguards have access.
