When it opened in 1971, the Magic Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World had a strict policy banning alcohol. But reports that every sit-down restaurant in the theme park now offers booze.
Disney announced in a that guests 21 and over can now order alcohol at three sit-down restaurants in the park. At , you can order American beer and wine, including a regional craft IPA. At , they’ll offer mimosas with breakfast and wine with the lunch and dinner buffets. And at , you can order American beers and wines.
Six years ago, the first Magic Kingdom restaurant to offer alcohol was the restaurant, themed after "Beauty and the Beast." Now, with the addition of the previously mentioned three restaurants, every restaurant in the park offers some type of alcoholic drink, since other restaurants in the park already served wine and beer.
For example, offers mimosas, bellinis and sangrias for breakfast, plus an extensive wine list for lunch and dinner. on Main Street offers beers and Italian wines, while has beer, cider and wine. If you’re looking for hard alcohol, you’re out of luck in the entire park.
You still can’t get wine or beer at Magic Kingdom’s quick-service restaurants, and the no-booze policy still holds at Disneyland in California, though you can get a drink at California Adventure. And of course, the booziest Disney destination is still Epcot, where you can get specialty drinks at each country at the World Showcase.
