According to some dedicated Disney blogs, Disney is planning on turning an outdated pizza restaurant at one of their parks into a real-life version of Toy Story’s Pizza Planet, the space-themed arcade restaurant where Buzz Lightyear and Woody meet the aliens (aka Little Green Men) who worship “The Claw” machine game. While Disney hasn’t officially announced the change yet, here’s what we know so far.It Will Be Located in Tomorrowland Even though Walt Disney World is opening Toy Story Land in June 2018, this new restaurant is actually opening at Disneyland's Tomorrowland instead. Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port in Tomorrowland will be transformed into “Alien’s Pizza Planet — A Better Place,” according to Disney News Today.It’s Opening Really Soon The restaurant will open on April 13 just in time for Pixar Fest to kick off at both Disneyland Resort parks, according to Disney News Today.It May Be Temporary While the Toy Story re-theme of the pizza restaurant in Tomorrowland is supposed to be temporary, per Disney News Today, so was the overhaul of Pinocchio Village Haus into Red Rose Taverne. Since that is still a Beauty and The Beast-themed restaurant over a year later, we're hoping that Pizza Planet will stay put. It Could Focus On The Aliens The restaurant’s tagline “A Better Place” refers to where the Little Green Men think they’re going to after The Claw selects them from their arcade game at the restaurant. With that in mind, it’s safe to assume that the aliens and their claw game will be the focus of the new restaurant's decor. We also hope more details from the movie's restaurant will pop up here. Alien slime soda, anyone?This Isn’t Disney's First Pizza Planet Restaurant In fact, it’s the third. Buzz Lightyear’s Pizza Planet Restaurant shuttered in Disneyland Paris in late 2016 after being deemed “Disney unworthy” by the resort’s COO, Daniel Delcourt. While the restaurant’s décor was haphazard and cheaply made, we imagine that the gigantic claw machine will feature into the theme of the new restaurant in some way.Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida also shut down their Toy Story Pizza Planet restaurant in 2016 and replaced it with a Muppets-themed PizzeRizzo restaurant.Here's hoping this one is even better.For a look at the upcoming Toy Story Land in Disney World, check out the video above!
