They're waiting in line in 20 degree weather for up to two hours to get lunch. Of the 50 seat big food diner or in the special grand opening tent. All this for *** loose meat sandwich. Well not exactly. Well we really appreciate you guys coming out Tom and Roseanne Arnold are today's special hotter than any item on the menu. We didn't know what to expect because it's so cold. You know, we thought maybe nobody would come And just *** few people but it's been really big and we're glad we're here signing autographs for folks from all over Iowa and the Midwest today, Ruby Hanson and 73 other people from the Carpenter Senior Center in Des Moines are here for what they're calling the big event very big or we wouldn't be here. Like I say the autograph itself, she's prettier than she is on tv signing thousands of autographs and 20 degree Iowa weather in *** pork tent doesn't sound like every Hollywood stars dream but these guys say they don't mind at all, we're here all the time and every 4 to 6 weeks we come in and eat so we pop in but now we are going to do *** lot of like this anymore. That's great dream come true. Something I thought about *** lot when I was *** kid, you know what if I didn't know how I was ever going to happen but I just got real lucky kind of in the back of your mind tom he's really funny and he could get famous but you never dreamed it would be like this. It's great! It's fantastic. It helps everybody in town. The Arnold say they'd love to have you stop by here soon for dinner. But if business stays this good, don't expect *** quick lunch in Eldon Jill Farmer Tv eight News.

Some people waited in line for more than 2 hours in 20-degree weather in 1993 to get a loose meat sandwich at Eldon, Iowa's newest restaurant. But the menu at Roseanne & Tom's Big Food Diner wasn't the only draw. The restaurant's owners and namesakes — actors/comedians Tom and Roseanne Arnold, were on hand to welcome the crowd. The couple thanked their customers and signed hundreds of autographs that opening day for people who came from across the Midwest.Watch the video above to see what this event was like.Tom Arnold is a native of nearby Ottumwa. He and Roseanne married in 1990 and divorced in 1994.
