IT’S INSPIRED BY THIS HEARTWARMING TRADITION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA HOME FOOTBALL GAMES. AFTER THE FIRST QUARTER, FANS STAND AND WAVE TO THE CHILDREN AT THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA STEAD FAMILY CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, WHICH OVERLOOKS KINNICK STADIUM. FAREWAY SAYS CUSTOMERS AT ALL IOWA STORES WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO ROUND UP TO THE NEXT DOLLAR OR PROVIDE A DONATION ON THEIR GROCERY BILL TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE IOWA WAVE MISSION. Fareway shoppers in Iowa have the opportunity to support a good cause.The new fundraiser is inspired by the heartwarming tradition at University of Iowa home football games. After the first quarter, fans stand and wave to the children at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital, overlooking Kinnick Stadium.Fareway says customers at all Iowa stores will have the chance to round up to the next dollar or provide a donation on their grocery bill to raise money for the Iowa Wave Shirt's mission.This money goes directly to the Stead Family Children's Hospital.This fundraiser goes through Sept. 7.
