DATE. WELL, IT IS ONE OF THE MOST ANTICIPATED WEEKS OF THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON HERE IN IOWA. THE CYCLONES AND HAWKEYES WILL CLASH AT JACK TRICE STADIUM ON SATURDAY. vlog IS MARCUS MCINTOSH AHE WENT TO AMES TO GET A FEEL FOR ALL THE EXCITEMENT THAT’S ALREADY BUILDING AHEAD OF THE CY-HAWK GAME. JACK TRICE STADIUM HERE IN AMES WILL BE FILLED WITH FOOTBALL FANS FOR THE BIG CY-HAWK SHOWDOWN FOOTBALL GAME ON SATURDAY. NOW THOSE SAME FANS ARE HOPEFUL THE ONLINE TICKETING TROUBLE THAT KEPT THEM OUTSIDE AFTER THE GAME HAD STARTED IS A THING OF THE PAST. THE CLONES SEEM TO BE A WELL-OILED MACHINE COMING AWAY WITH A RELATIVELY EASY VICTORY, ADDING FUEL TO THE CY-HAWK RIVALRY. WE HATE THE HAWKEYES. WE MET TWO FRESHMAN FROM ILLINOIS ON CAMPUS MONDAY MORNING. THIS WILL BE THEIR FIRST CY-HAWK FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE. REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT. I MEAN, THE BIG RIVALRY GAME, IT’S WHAT FOOTBALL IS ALL ABOUT. I MEAN, YOU LOVE TO SEE TWO BIG TEAMS GOING HEAD TO HEAD. I MEAN, NOTHING BETTER THAN THAT. I’M PRETTY EXCITED. UNFORTUNATELY, TICKETS ARE REALLY EXPENSIVE, BUT I’M JUST GOING TO TAILGATE AND WATCH IT, YOU KNOW, OUTSIDE THE STADIUM. SO BUT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO IT. BOTH ARE PREDICTING A CYCLONE WIN. It did not take him long to buy into the Cy-Hawk frenzy.This year's Cy-Hawk game will be at Jack Trice Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 9."We hate the Hawkeyes," Bartels said. "I'm really looking forward to it. A big rivalry game,"Bartels, like any other ISU freshman, may have to improvise to watch the big football game Saturday afternoon, which is sold out."I am just going to tailgate and watch outside the stadium," said Eli Martinus, an ISU freshman.An issue with the online ticketing left some football fans standing outside the stadium well into the first quarter of the first game of the season against UNI last Saturday, prompting an apology from Athletics Director Jamie Pollard, who said a "perfect storm" of factors caused the long wait."I am going to give everybody a break there. To be honest, it was the first game. First home game of the season," Caden Grabowski, an ISU freshman, said.Grabowski says the slate is clean. He is hopeful after the Cy-Hawk football game Saturday afternoon, the Cyclones will continue their clean slate of football victories this season.
