Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark now owns the NCAA women's scoring record, the major college basketball women's scoring record, and on Sunday passed "Pistol" Pete Maravich for the men's and women's all-time record. It's been a season of scoring milestones for Clark, who said recently that she's forgoing a fifth season of eligibility to enter the WNBA draft. Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark now owns the NCAA women's scoring record, the major college basketball women's scoring record, and on Sunday passed "Pistol" Pete Maravich for the men's and women's all-time record.

It's been a season of scoring milestones for Clark, who said recently that she's forgoing a fifth season of eligibility to enter the WNBA draft.

IOWA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Lynette Woodard, Kansas: 3,649 points

Lynette Woodard, who starred for Kansas from 1977-1981, scored 3,649 points in her career. That was the major college basketball women's scoring record, but the NCAA doesn't recognize it because it was set when the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women governed women's college sports.

Clark's 33 points Feb. 28 gave her 3,650 career points, one ahead of Woodard.

“Tonight is the night of the real record,” coach Lisa Bluder said.
