Inspired by , 30-year-old Jessie Lipskin decided to renovate a 1966 GMC Commuter Greyhound that she bought on eBay in 2015 for $7,000. Three years later, and the bus, which was once filled with rows and rows of beat-up seats, is now an adorable, cozy home.
Jessie told that traditional RVs were missing the aesthetic she was going for, so she instead settled on the vintage Greyhound. Though she found what she was looking for, the New York City native had one problem: No driver's license. Her friends drove the bus to upstate New York for her, where she began some renovations. Then, she moved it to Asbury Park, New Jersey, where the bus is stationed today.
She hired a contractor and continued the project, which ended up costing $125,000 to complete, including decor. The bus-turned-home is pretty impressive. It features a full kitchen with an oven and stove top, an energy-efficient washing machine/drying spinner, an instant hot water heater and propane tank.
Even though Jessie loves her new home, she's selling it for $149,000 on . According to Insider, the bus is too large for her to drive on her own, and she's planning several trips in the near future.
