Fran McCaffery's season on the bench may have come to an unceremonious early end.The Hawkeye men's basketball coach was ejected following two consecutive technical fouls in the second half of Iowa's game vs. Illinois Thursday in the Big Ten Tournament.The technicals came following a foul on Iowa's Even Brauns, which led to a pair of free throws by Illinois' Tre White. White knocked down both attempts. As Iowa brought the ball up on the ensuing possession, McCaffery continued arguing with the officials and was whistled for a technical foul.He didn't stop there. Seconds later, McCaffery picked up his second technical foul, ejecting him from the game."Such a mistake," Big Ten Network commentator Robbie Hummel said on the broadcast.
