Cincinnati Zoo's Fiona the hippo's stardom is reaching new heights.The zoo revealed its newest 24-foot tall nutcracker statue featuring the famous hippo resident.The zoo teased the statue on Wednesday saying it's giving the giant nutcracker statue a whole new look. The zoo said the statue has been a year in the making, taking 12 people and about 1,650 hours to make it come to life. It will feature some fun hidden details that are part of Fiona's story, including:Six slices of watermelon on her belt (because she was born six weeks premature and loves watermelon)Camera on the belt buckle because she grew up in front of the camera29 buttons on her coat represent her birthweight of 29 poundsAquarius symbol on the buttons is a nod to her astrological signHer birthstone, garnet, is in her crownFritz, her new little brother, is painted on her toenailThe statue was installed ahead of the zoo's Festival of Lights which features millions of LED lights that adorn the zoo grounds.
