THIS AFTERNOON. 1:00 AMERICAN AIRLINES FLIGHT FROM DES MOINES TO D.C. IS ALSO CANCELED. THERE AREN’T ANY OTHER FLIGHTS SCHEDULED TO GO TO D.C. FROM DES MOINES FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. AND RIGHT NOW, CREWS ARE ALSO WORKING TO FIX A WATER MAIN BREAK AT THE DES MOINES AIRPORT. THE AIRPORT FIRST REPORTED ISSUES AROUND 6:00 THIS MORNING. THERE ARE GOING TO BE LIMITED RESTROOMS OPEN FOR PASSENGERS ON THE CONCOURSE, SO PLAN AHEAD IF YOU’RE FLYING TODAY. YOU CAN STILL ACCESS FOOD AND DRINK AT MILL

Two flights from Des Moines to Washington D.C. have been canceled Friday after a passenger plane collided with an Army helicopter late Wednesday night.Video above: Federal investigation underway into deadly crash near Reagan National AirportAccording to flydsm.com, American Airlines flights scheduled to depart from Des Moines at 5:55 a.m. and 1:01 p.m. were canceled. As of 7:30 am., a flight arriving at 12:11 p.m. from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport was still on schedule.
