The family of Damar Hamlin is thanking first responders, health care staff, the team and fans for their support for Hamlin after he suffered a cardiac arrest during Monday's game against the Bengals. "On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to Damar during this challenging time. We are deeply moved by the prayers, kind words, and donations from fans around the country," the family said in a statement provided by Hamlin's agent and friend, Jordon Rooney.The Hamlin family went on to thank first responders and the staff at UC Medical Center for providing exceptional care to Hamlin."We feel so blessed to be part of the Buffalo Bills organization and to have their support. We also want to thank Coach Taylor and the Bengals for everything they've done. Your generosity and compassion mean the world to us. Please keep Damar in your prayers. We will release updates as we have them," the family said in the statement. In the latest update, the Buffalo Bills said Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest after making a tackle during Monday's game.
