RYAN: SINCE HAMLIN’S INJURY FOOTBALL FANS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY HAVE BEEN SHOWING THEIR SUPPORT BY DONATING TO HIS CHARITY FUNDRAISER. JANELLE: HAMLIN STARTED THE CHASIN M’S FOUNDATION TO QUOTE POSITIVELY IMPACT THE COMMUNITY . MICHELLE: HIS FIRST PROGRAM WAS A COMMUNITY TOY DRIVE IN 2020. AS OF THIS MORNING THE GO-FUND-ME PAGE FOR THAT TOY DRIVE WHICH HAD AN INITIAL GOAL OF $2500 HAS NOW RAISED OVER $3 MILLION. GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY IS SOMETHING HAMLIN HAS LONG BEEN PASSIONATE ABOUT. BACK IN JULY 2021 HAMLIN TOOK PART IN A LOCAL FOOTBALL CAMP. As fans and players rally around Buffalo Bills' safety Damar Hamlin after he collapsed on the field during Monday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, many are showing support in a donation to his charity fundraiser. Hamlin started the Chasin M's Foundation to raise money to buy toys for children in need."As I embark on my journey to the NFL, I will never forget where I come from and I am committed to using my platform to positively impact the community that raised me," Hamlin wrote in the GoFundMe post. The fundraiser, which had a goal of $2,500, raised more than $6.2 million as of Wednesday morning.Fans have been making donations as well as sharing messages of support and prayers with their donations.To donate, click here.
