Food truck vendors will be there along with music and other entertainment.The event starts at 11 a.m. Saturday, several hours before the 2:30 p.m. kickoff. The event ends at 9 p.m. You can find more information here.Week 1 resultsIowa's vaunted defense pitched a shutout against Illinois State, but that's not much of a surprise. The big news was Iowa's offense — in new offensive coordinator Tim Lester's first game at the helm — putting up 40 points, including a dominant 34-point effort in the second half.The Hawkeyes totaled up 492 yards of offense and 23 first downs. Both of those marks would have been season-highs last year, and you'd have to go all the way back to September 2019 to find a higher yardage total by an Iowa offense.Over in Ames, Iowa State needed just 38 seconds to score its first touchdown. Then, the Cyclones eased off the gas pedal and coasted to a 21-3 victory over North Dakota.The Cyclone defense allowed North Dakota to sustain multiple long drives, but with the exception of a second quarter field goal, those possessions came up empty.Ankeny sisters share special Cy-Hawk traditionAnkeny sisters Stacy Broders and Jessica Crecelius root for opposing teams.
