A West Des Moines boy is playing a special part in Saturday's rivalry game.Atlas Coleman, 8, is this week's Kid Captain for the Hawkeyes.Specialists at the Stead Family Children's Hospital found and treated him for an aggressive cancer called pleuropulmonary blastoma, which was so rare that there wasn't a standard treatment plan for it.
