Interactive graphic tracks reactions to Trump's address to Congress
President Donald Trump's address to Congress was met with raucous approval from Republicans in the room Tuesday night. The speech ran for nearly two hours, a record for an address to both chambers, and highlighted the presidential actions he's taken during his first five weeks in office.
The Hearst Television Data Team created an interactive graphic that tracks all of the cheers and jeers during Trump's address. This interactive plays the entire speech and highlights parts which were applauded, given a standing ovation, or the moments when booing was heard in the chamber.

An analysis from the Hearst Television Data Team found there were around 120 applause breaks lasting on average 16 seconds, with 80% of those resulting in a standing ovation.
But it wasn't all cheers for the president. According to the Hearst Data Team Analysis there were around 13 negative outbursts and no standing ovations coming from Democratic lawmakers.
Among the outbursts recorded was Texas Rep. Al Green who interrupted Trump’s address in protest of possible Medicaid cuts. This eventually led to him being removed from the House chamber.
