Hi Yeah, I'm getting my hands dirty for this one, carved pumpkins typically only last, you know, like 3 to 5 days, maybe *** little longer if we're having colder weather, so you really have to rush to carve those pumpkins right before Halloween. It's annoying we want to enjoy them longer. But turns out there are things you can do to the pumpkins to make them last two, even three times longer, maybe more. And all you need is stuff you already have laying around the house. Check this out. We're getting ready carving *** bunch of pumpkins to test out these hacks. It's *** workout not to brag another perfect one. Okay, now it's time to test out one hack per pumpkin. First up petroleum jelly, you know, Vaseline, take this and rub it on all the carved areas. So basically like the eyes, any place that it's carved, right? So we're going to put this all over the place. And the point is with this, that it's basically moisturizing the pumpkin. Okay, it's moisturizing the pumpkin so it doesn't get wrinkly and old like me. So, and then by the way, they say go inside the pumpkin to now for hack number two hair spray, you just spray the pumpkin inside and out. And they say, not only does it keep it longer, it stops animals because it tastes so disgusting from nibbling on, but this next hack could be even better. Soak your pumpkin in water and bleach, you get *** big tub like this and you figure out how much water you're putting in it and for every quart of water. You put one tablespoon of bleach, we did the math and we've put the right amount of bleach in here. Then you just take your pumpkin, put it in, let it submerge there like that and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes supposedly it'll keep longer. And like any experiment, you need *** control pumpkin. So we carve this one, didn't do anything to it. We let the pumpkin sit outside in the sun and the rain for two weeks ready for the results. I come back to check. Let's start right here. This is our control pumpkin. Look how disgusting this is. And by the way it just rips apart that. Look at that, look at that right there, it's falling apart. This is what would happen to your pumpkin if you didn't touch it and don't do anything to it. All right now let's bring in and we're gonna count down from number three to number one of the hacks that we think works. Work best. This is the hairspray. Take *** look at the hair spray one, it is together. I mean it's not crushing down, there's some mold and stuff in there. But look at that, it's actually pretty together and like I said, it's not decaying. I mean Look at the control and look at the hair spray pretty good. 2nd place goes to the bleach and water soak this is holding up really well. I mean this thing is still solid. It's pretty solid like all around. Look at that. Yes there is some rotting inside but *** little better than the hairspray. And you know you could still have this on your porch but the clear winner. This is crazy. The vase align the petroleum jelly. Number one hack we tried. I mean this thing is amazing. There is barely any rot inside and do this. Look at the, look at the eyes, I mean even on the other ones there was *** lot *** lot wrong with the eyes. This is really good. And by the way the Vaseline stayed through the cold through all the rainstorms that's been through over the past couple of weeks. There's still *** lot of petroleum jelly here and look inside. It's pretty good. It's not bad at all. And like I said this thing is this thing is solid as *** rock. Alright, petroleum jelly, you're my number one. By the way, if you're really serious about your pumpkins, your pumpkin fanatic, you can do these hacks once *** week. Right, we just did it once we spray it with hair spray.
