Olivia Tyler is a reporter/multimedia journalist for ����vlog 8 News. She was born and raised in Southern California.

She is a double University of Southern California Trojan, with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree of Studies in Law. She also studied abroad in Rome, Italy, during her first semester of college.

At USC Olivia was an anchor and reporter for the student-run TV station. One of her favorite experiences was reporting live from former Congresswoman Karen Bass’s watch party when she was elected as the first woman and second Black person to become mayor of Los Angeles.

She was an intern for the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks, ABC7 Los Angeles, CBS LA Bureau and the TODAY Show LA Bureau and is a Hearst TV Top 20 Features Awardee. She has reported from the Oscars, Sag-Aftra and BET Awards.

Olivia is proud to be a member of the historically Black Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the National Association of Black Journalists, as well as her Egyptian heritage. She loves to travel, spend time with family and friends and watch sports.

While she is a little nervous for Midwest winters she is excited to explore the state through its food, people, coffee shops, festivals and whatever else it brings her. If she’s not binging TV under the covers and you see her out and about, say hi, she loves to meet new people! But most importantly, she wants to share stories that are most important to you!
