Marriage and Personal Development has been written in order to explore the psychology of marriage and to examine "how counseling procedures can be designed to release the potential for growth and development within the marital situation." It describes in detail psychoanalytic ego psychology as it relates to personality development of the two persons involved in a marital relationship.
