The second edition of Differential Diagnosis in Dermatopathology II has without a doubt vindicated Dr Ackerman's frustrations with the first edition.
The 45 pairs of diagnostic dilemmas and the histopathologic features that differentiate them are the hallmark of this volume. Even though 43 of the 45 pairs are carried over from the first edition, this is almost an entirely new book. When comparing the two, only the framework of items remains the same. The differential diagnosis charts, clinical and histopathologic photographs, and the corresponding text has been reviewed, updated, and improved. The glossary has been expanded. Notably, the quality of the photography is uniformly outstanding—a significant improvement over the previous edition.
