In the Brief Report titled “Patients and Physicians Beliefs and Practices Regarding Adherence to Cardiovascular Medication,”1 published in the July issue of JAMA Cardiology, a reference was inadvertently omitted. The first sentence of the second paragraph in the Methods section, which read “We developed patient and physician questionnaires based on the 8-item Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8).” should have been followed by citation of reference 7, given in the References list as “Morisky DE, Ang A, Krousel-Wood M, Ward HJ. Predictive validity of a medication adherence measure in an outpatient setting. J Clin Hypertens (Greenwich). 2008;10(5):348-354.” The original reference 7 (to the article by Alexander et al) should have been numbered as reference 8. This article was corrected online.
