The Therapeutical Application of Oxygen.听
鈥�V. von Gyurkovechky. According to this author, inhalations of oxygen are indicated where there is acute or chronic saturation of the blood with carbolic acid; he also recommends its use for imperfect oxygenation in cases of physical weakness, an忙mia, leuc忙mia, chlorosis, indigestion, ennervating nervous diseases, diabetes, hemicrania, sleeplessness, and impotence. The oxygen used must be pure; the quantity to be inhaled depends upon individual peculiarities and the character of the disease, and varies from 1030 litres per day. Old people require less than the young; the enfeebled less than the strong. The best time for its administration is before breakfast or before the other meals.
