To the Editor The Viewpoint by Drs Mello and Livingston1 summarized knowledge regarding the practice of overlapping surgery and stated, 鈥淎nother [study] reported longer length of stay for some types of overlapping cases,鈥� referencing a study by us and other coauthors.2 We would like to clarify that statement as it is an incomplete representation of the findings.
