Competitive eater Molly Schuyler set a world record Saturday by finishing off a four-pound sandwich and one pound of tater tots in 2 minutes and 55 seconds, shattering her previous record by nearly two minutes.

On Sunday, Schuyler was timed as she finished off five pounds of bacon.

“The pile of five pounds of bacon is intimidating,” Schuyler said. “It is horrible to look at and bacon is one of my worst foods.”

Jethro’s owner Bruce Gerleman called the 116-pound competitive eater “an eating machine.”

Schuyler did not offer any predictions on how long it would take her to down five pounds of bacon.

“If I do it under an hour, I am OK,” she said.

And she did. Schuyler made every last strip disappear in 5 minutes and 2.1 seconds, establishing a world record.

“I was going to finish it. If you could leisurely eat it for an hour, that would be great. But that wasn't the point. I feel like I should have done better honestly,” she said.

Video of the event will be sent to the Guinness Book of World Records to be verified. Once verified, her record time will be official.

Schuyler washed down the bacon with a 10-pancake dessert.

Her next challenge is in Amarillo, Texas where she will tackle three 72-ounce steaks.
