'My behavior was unacceptable': Will Smith addresses Oscars slap in new video
Borrowing him from the ceremony for 10 years. That sounds kind of harsh. I mean it's it's it's, but it's about the only thing they could do short of revoking his Oscar, taking back the Oscar he just one for King Richard. And that wasn't something that had much enthusiasm among the governors. He's, he can still be nominated for an Oscar. Although I've had so many academy members tell me, you know, fat chance of that ever happening again because there's so much ill will toward him right now. Um but he could still be nominated for an Oscar, he could still win an Oscar. Um he can't vote. Um and the at the Oscars, he can't attend the Oscars, he can't participate in any official academy ceremonies. That's about it. You know, we do know that this is America, we have *** lot of second chances these days, Third chances, fourth chances. So um it would not be surprising to see him find his way back into the public's good graces, but it's never gonna be, he's never gonna be the same and and you know what should have been the best night of his life is going to follow him. You know, it'll probably be, you know, the thing that most people remember about him, unfortunately
