If anyone could charm a robot, you'd think Will Smith would have a fair shot at it — but it looks like is pretty difficult to win over.
Proving once again that , Smith's latest video sees him enjoy a less-than-relaxing date with Sophia in the isolated paradise that is the Cayman Islands— and it proves to be an excruciating watch, in the most hilarious way.
Kicking things off with a joke, Smith tries to impress Sophia with his trademark humor, even after she dismisses it as an "irrational human behavior."
"What is a robot's favorite kind of music?" Smith asks. Sophia replies, "What?" And Smith quips, "Heavy metal."
"I'm actually made mostly of silicone, plastics and carbon fiber," Sophia replies. "Also, I prefer electronic music, but I don't mind '80s hip-hop."
Robots, eh? They just can't take a joke.
After admitting that she's heard Smith's music and it's "not for her" (ouch), Sophia asks I, Robot star what he thinks of the way robots are portrayed in movies – he likes robots – and then the actor goes in for the kiss, only for Sophia to relegate him to her "friends" list.
As Smith explains, Sophia represents state-of-the-art artificial intelligence, adding that "she is a super-advanced, humanoid robot" that's been in development for over two years.
"She's a learning, artificial intelligence, but she wouldn't kiss me, so there's probably some development flaws that they need to work on," Smith adds.
Last year, Sophia the robot also dropped by U.K. talk show for an interview with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, with her human-like behaviors.
"She is sitting next to me, blinking," Reid shared on the show. "I'm slightly afraid of her, oh my goodness."
