It's when I get lost in something and I forget. that I'm experiencing *** constructive thing? It's good editing if you don't notice it based in L ***. Ernie Gilbert is the editor behind recent films like Amazon's romantic comedy. Somebody I used to know as well as series like Atlanta and music videos for songs like this is America Tennessee based filmmaker Brian Lucia is best Known for documentaries like Bluebird about one of Nashville's iconic cafes and music venues. Both of them described editing for film as finding the rhythm of each scene and setting the right pace for the story when it's heavy handed, it feels too choppy. There's times for flashy editing, there's time for edits that don't draw attention to themselves. Um And kind of knowing what's going to service your story the best. I find that *** lot of great editors are also musicians because I think there's *** rhythm to it. There is no one way to edit *** film and styles vary by genre. So who are some of this year's biggest contenders obviously Top Gun, I mean, action is *** whole another beast when it comes to editing, what *** visceral experience as far as editing goes. Elvis was one that when I saw the run time, I had *** feeling that I would come out of it thinking that could have been half an hour shorter. I thought that is an excellently edited film for the reason that I didn't feel that way, you know, everything everywhere all at once cut by Paul Rogers. I, I can't even think about like distinct moments as much as just like what I was feeling and, and the onslaught of just maximalist imagery. Each of this year's Oscar nominees for best editing are also major contenders for the American Cinema Editors Awards, also known as the Eddies. Entertainment Tonight reports that Tom is currently back on set of "Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part II," which is currently filming in the United Kingdom.Clearly, Cruise doesn't let anything get in the way of his work ethic — not even six Oscar nominations for "Top Gun: Maverick," including Best Picture. That said, Cruise himself didn't get nominated for Best Actor, which many people considered a major snub. His costar Jennifer Connolly told Variety ahead of the nominations announcement that she thought Cruise deserved a nomination, saying, “He’s extraordinary. He does an amazing job in the movie. He’s extraordinary as a person and fantastic as an actor, and I think that he is just perfect. He embodies that character so beautifully, and I think he absolutely deserves it.” She added, “I think that the film is a really well-made film and it’s really hard to make a film like that. Also, thinking about Tom’s work, think of the things that he did for that role. Besides all the stuff on the ground and how wonderful he is in those scenes and creating those relationships, I think the relationship he has with Miles’ character is so beautiful and moving. But the work that he did to accomplish those flying sequences, it’s something else.”Speaking of Miles Teller, he told Entertainment Tonight that another "Top Gun" could be in the works, saying "That would be great, but that's all up to TC. It's all up to Tom. I've been having some conversations with him about it. We'll see."
