A water main break at JFK Airport in New York City has led to flight delays, the airport said on Twitter. The official Twitter account for JFK says the break is occurring at Terminal 4. Terminal 4 is "the major gateway for international arrivals at JFK airport. It serves as a major international hub for Delta Airlines," the airport website says.Video showed at least an inch of water covering a large expanse of the floor and water cascading down a wall in the arrivals area.Hundreds of bags have been lined up in rows on the floor in the baggage claim areas while stranded travelers, sometimes sleeping next to their suitcases, wait to board flights.The travelers were stuck at the airport because of the winter storm that socked the East Coast. On Saturday alone, 94 flights were canceled at JFK, the New York Port Authority said.The break comes after a several days of delays and canceled flights at the airport. In a statement, Port Authority Executive Director Rick Cotton said the break "appeared to be weather-related" and called it "unacceptable."The airport is currently experiencing departure and arrival delays of more than two hours.The Associated Press contributed.
