Madison Palm and her dog,Cora, were recently flying from their home in Idaho to Alaska to visit Palm's mother when something truly special happened. While waiting during a layover at the Seattle airport, Cora, who is a certified therapy dog, walked over to a man who was sitting by himself. "Before I could even call her she was already at his feet being loved on. I asked him if she was bothering him," Palm told the TODAY Show. The man then told Palm, "No, no. I lost my dog last night."Cora stayed with the man for a while, and Palm noticed how the man happily scratched her ears, told her how cute she was, and gave her some good pets. "I truly think she has a gift. She knows who is hurting and she knows who needs her," she said. "Once he told me that his dog passed away I looked at Cora and I thought to myself, 'You are so amazing. How did I get so lucky?'"Cora was rescued by Palm when she saw an online ad for the dog to be given away to "the first person to come get her," after Cora was killing the family's chickens. She was severely underfed and had been kept outside most of her life, being used to breed many litters of puppies. Now, Cora is thriving, lovable, obviously kind best friend. How sweet!
